fundU New Zealand ("fundU", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 2020 when you visit fundu.co.nz, make an enquiry or apply for a business loan.
What we collect
- Contact details — name, email address and phone number
- Business details — business name, NZBN, industry, trading history, turnover and address
- Loan details — the amount, purpose, timing and how you plan to repay
- Property details — the property offered as security, its approximate value and existing lending
- Credit and identity information, if you proceed with an application and authorise us to obtain it
- Website usage information, such as pages visited and device type, collected through cookies and analytics
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, assess whether we can help, contact you about your business funding request, prepare and manage any loan, meet our legal obligations, and improve our website and services.
Who we share it with
To assess and respond to your enquiry we may share your information with related lending companies and trusted partners that help us provide business finance — including, where fundU can't fund a request directly (for example, where no property security is available), a partner that may be able to offer another business finance option. We may also share information with valuers, lawyers, credit reporters, identity verification providers, our professional advisers and service providers (such as our website, form and CRM providers), and where required by law. We don't sell your personal information.
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Some of our service providers may store information outside New Zealand; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected in a way comparable to the Privacy Act 2020.
Your rights
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you. Call us on 09 875 4577 and ask for our privacy officer. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
